Sorry I haven’t posted lately! I know everyone has missed me!

Ok……..here we go………….

Work is going well. It is boring and really hard to leave the baby but I am working through it.

School sucks. I have always hated it but it has to be done I suppose

We moved into the new house on 12/8. It is awesome! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED US MOVE!!!! We had the interior painted and we are steadily unpacking boxes. The pool and rest of the window coverings should be done this week. Kaelyn’s nursery is coming together. We just need the chair rail up and some furniture to finish it off.

We are hosting Christmas and New Year’s at our new house so we are scrambling to get everything together but it will be great to have everyone for Kaelyn’s first Christmas. Santa is going to be good to her I am sure!

Vegas Baby!

Mike and I went to Vegas on Saturday for 10 whole hours. My friend was getting married but we didn’t want to leave the baby overnight so we went for the ceremony. They got married by Elvis so it was really fun!

Kaelyn stayed with Mike’s parents who said she was a very good girl. My parents came by briefly today on their way back to Yuma from Flagstaff.

I go back to work tomorrow. It will be very strange the first day back.

I can’t believe it is mid-November. I haven’t started my Christmas shopping yet. What do you get a 4 month old?

Let’s see…….

The baby was sick last week with an infection and had to have 4 shots and bloodwork. She was not a happy camper. She is doing better and taking her medicine.

Halloween was a bust. She was a bumble bee but screamed the whole time so we took her out of her costume. Then we had to take her out of the outfit UNDER her costume before she would stop screaming. I guess bees are scary to infants. After the chaos she calmed down and we took her for a walk around the neighborhood. Unfortunately it was late so all the other kids were at home.

We move in two weeks exactly! So excited.

I go back to work on Monday. I am excited and sad at the same time. Kaelyn goes to daycare on Friday as a "dry run" for Mommy

10/27/2006

We went to Yuma over the weekend to see my parents. Their new house is great and we had a good time. It was Kaelyn’s first road trip and she was perfect. My parents bought her a ton of clothes which is always appreciated and I got to eat Chili Pepper (my fav mexican food) so good times were had by all.

Kaelyn went to the doctor Wednesday and got 4 shots. Poor thing but she didn’t really cry a lot. Maybe it is because she weighs 13 pounds so she has chubby thighs for getting shots!

Are you kidding me right now? How do you blow a 20 point lead with 3 minutes left in the game? WTF?

Mmmm….Richardson's

Mike and I went to Richardson’s last night to celebrate our one year anniversary. It was actually in August but Kaelyn came early so we didn’t go to dinner as planned. His parents watched the baby and we went to Richardson’s on Bethany Home and 16th Street. This was our second trip and it is one of our favorite places to eat. Mike had the halibut and I had lamb chops. Then we went to Cheesecake Factory for coffee and dessert. Needless to say we were stuffed!

We move into the house on 11/22 and then I never want to pack another box again.

Kaelyn is 8 weeks today. She celebrated by drinking a bottle of formula and burping. Yum!

10/11 Update

We bought a couch! No more shopping!

The house has been painted, we have electricity, the kitchen sink is in and the pool has concrete. Getting closer and closer!!!

Kaelyn is such a good baby. She is starting to sleep more throughout the night. She has also begun to smile at Mike and I…..and the couch, cats, walls…pretty much anything.

I am tired of shopping!! Who knew that could happen. Specifically shopping for living room furniture because it is so frustrating. Mike likes comfort…….I prefer style. And then there is the "fit". Who the hell knew a couch "fits" people differently? Mike is 7 inches taller than me so things I fit into he hates of course and vice versa. I vote we just sit on the floor in the new house because couch shopping has turned into complete chaos.

Baby is doing well. She is watching the baseball playoffs with Mike and eating a botlle. Good times…..

I went to work on Friday to show off Kaelyn and found out they are moving my desk. I now get an office! I haven’t had an office in four years. I am tired of the world of cubes. They are hiring another finance analyst so we will share but who the heck cares!

I start another class on Tuesday and Mike is taking a class also. This will be a time management nightmare with the both of us in school.

The house is coming along. We need appliances, the pool, landscaping and paint. Maricopa living has been fun since I don’t commute everyday. Going back to work in November will be a shock to me. We will have to get up at 4:30AM to get us ready, Kaelyn ready and commute to daycare and work.

So….

The house has tile and the pool is on the way to being finished! I can’t wait to move in and decorate!

The baby is doing well. She is gaining weight and getting bigger by the day. Right now she is sitting on the couch…..drooling. It is her speciality! That and crying!

Mike and I are going to the D-backs game tonight to say goodbye to Gonzo! And I will have my first beer in 10 months. It will knock my on my ass I am sure.

I would update you on my work but I don’t go back until November. Kaelyn is work enough.

House update 9/19

We have countertops! And the roof is laid…………

Now the builder says we will move in two days before Thanksgiving. Great…..just what we wanted. I wanted to be done so we can move in while I am on maternity leave. Hopefully they will be done sooner. We still need flooring and the pool has not been started yet.
